[Scroll down for the horoscopes.]
So much in our world right now is so unsettling — downright terrifying and terrorizing, actually — it would be easy to contract and withdraw in defense against it. And I suppose Jupiter’s recent entrance into the sign Cancer on June 9 could easily describe increased movement of that sort: urges to sidestep all that is hard to look at, hide from all that is spiraling out of control, pull into ourselves or raise our claws in desperate defensiveness. Honestly, there may be times when any or all of those moves are necessary and beneficial, even if only temporarily.

Yet in addition to the ways of the crab, the water sign Cancer is also associated with family, mothers and mothering, domestic life, emotions and emotional sensitivity, the sea itself and — as it is ruled by the Moon — the tides (and all cycles, by extension).
True, Jupiter in Cancer could signal an amplification of hypersensitivity and the reactions that go with such a state. In our hair-trigger, polarized, generally ungrounded social environment, it may take extra effort to stay regulated and to come back to emotional coherence when we feel activated and overwhelmed.
But I also see Jupiter in Cancer as a beautiful symbol of enhanced emotional intelligence. The ability to read a room, to clock the subtle changes in a friend’s facial expression, to sense the somatic shifts in your own body in response to something (and respond appropriately) are valuable skills in human relating.
With Mercury also moving through Cancer until June 26, thoughts and feelings have particular consonance and potential influence on each other. Notice when your thoughts are getting bogged down by a flood of un-parsed feelings.
If you can name them, give them their due, and then let them flow on through you, you’ll have an easier time consciously choosing a more supportive mindset. It can be easy to forget just how much power we have to get out from under emotions, and that doing so often benefits from some outside support to help us get perspective (perspective having some relationship to Jupiter, as Jupiter rules the “wide-angle view” of the sign Sagittarius).
Speaking of support: As mentioned, Cancer relates to mothers and by relation to families — and taking care of them. Whether for you this means your biological family, chosen family, or our vast global family, I do think Jupiter in Cancer describes an expansion of who we care about, and greater empathy and sensitivity toward how we actively take care of each other. At least, that is the vision I am holding in the face of the rampant, ugly, and dangerous levels of tribalism in its more toxic forms. Jupiter is still in the very first degree of Cancer, amplifying the “personal is political” theme of the Aries Point as it extends to the first degrees of all four cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn).
The horoscopes below include a nod to the Sagittarius Full Moon, which was exact at 3:44 am EDT on Wednesday, June 11. Reflecting on what came to prominence for you during the first half of this week could be a useful doorway into making the most of Jupiter’s journey through Cancer (which ends roughly one year from now, on June 30, 2026).
May these horoscopes for your Sun sign and rising sign serve your highest good, your healing and growth, and by extension the global family of all species.
With love,
Amanda

Horoscopes for Jupiter in Cancer for Sun & Rising Signs
ARIES — As the famous line says, there’s no place like home. And for the next twelve months, you have an opportunity to improve yours. This does not mean moving (though it could if your dream house becomes available) so much as feeling drawn to seek peace and security domestically. Clearing up new or growing domestic issues? Check. Connecting with family (biological or chosen)? Check. Updating decor? Check. And let’s not forget the most important form of “home”: how you feel in your own skin. It appears time to get clearer about who you truly are at this stage, recalibrating your inner awareness with all the external or social changes you’ve been caught up in. Does this feel disorienting? It’s okay to seek counsel from someone you feel safe with (perhaps a professional) as you lean into some inner restructuring. You’ll likely find that leaning into the process actually enhances your sense of safety, as points of dissonance in your self-understanding resolve.
Did yesterday’s Full Moon reveal to you some way that your spiritual growth is a product of your mental patterns? What would it mean to change your mind?
*
TAURUS — You know how Dorothy says, “…if I ever go looking for my heart’s desire again, I won’t look any further than my own backyard”? That might be a little extreme (distant travels and epic quests do have their time and place). But the rainbow holds a certain pot of gold for you these next twelve months, when the most interesting opportunities and most robust support are likely available fairly close to home (literally and figuratively). Paradoxically, this more localized focus could actually support an expansion of your thought processes, beginning with trusting your instincts. Where you may encounter friction relates to the way you appear unconsciously drawn to take stock of what has and has not worked out over the last several years. It’s time to clear out debris from losses and dissolve any obstacles to future gains, gathering spiritual lessons along the way. Remember: the universe’s “love language” is not “punishment.” It’s just trying to get you to drop what’s in the way of your taking aligned action, so it can meet you halfway.
Wednesday’s Full Moon appears to have spotlighted a need to take more ownership in an intimate relationship or situation of shared resources. Are you clear on what’s yours vs. theirs?
*
GEMINI — Anything you’ve engaged with the last twelve months that has helped you to know yourself better and connect with others is like money in the bank now, and your new self-understanding is about to start paying off. I suspect it will translate into greater empathy and emotional intelligence over the next year (and especially later this month), which will help strengthen your relationships. In turn, this positions you to make the most of new income opportunities. Generosity begets generosity, after all, even if what’s being given and received take different forms. This dynamic is especially key in group situations currently, though it might not feel easy all the time. As free-range as you may prefer to be socially, it appears there are tangible gains to be made for the next couple of years in more structured settings. Just stay aware of when you may be over-idealizing certain teammates, even if they’re rock stars at helping you to achieve your dreams. We’re all just human, after all.
If the Full Moon brought you face-to-face with one human in particular, did the encounter show you something about yourself that you’ve been unconscious of? Seeing it is the first step to understanding it and working with it.
*
CANCER — Are you aware of what a busy place your unconscious tends to be, especially recently? I ask because it appears your professional aspirations are beginning to ask more of you, both in terms of your willingness to dream and your willingness to put in the work. The more you can rein in your mental chatter — or get it out in the open or on paper, where you can tame it — the more energy you’ll have to meet your goals (and any gatekeepers to them). You’ve just begun a year of enhanced presence in the world, and you’ll likely enjoy the benefits no matter what. Yet the more you can understand who you are, shed outgrown attitudes, and deepen your spiritual life, the more you’ll draw in the experiences and people that will help you grow. Even so, this process could come with confusion and tension around what (or maybe who) has run its course, and what deserves your energy. There’s no need to rush decisions about this. But since you run in cycles, do keep careful track of which way the tide is flowing.
If Wednesday’s Full Moon brought out actions or reactions that don’t match your desired health or work outcomes, further investigation using your intuitive tools could help you get right with yourself.
*
LEO — In many ways, the world has been your oyster this past year. Even if you’ve struggled in some areas of life, your friends, communication, and more public uses of your talents have likely been a source of blessings and support. Yet even the most outgoing extravert benefits from some introspection and self-study. As luck would have it, your next twelve months emphasize learning as much as possible about your inner workings. This may include sensitive territory. Luckily, you have a built-in buffer this year that should help you to look inside with more neutrality, compassion, and perspective — and fewer ego defenses — than usual. Still, you may get restless. (After all, you’re a Leo not a hermit.) Taking a structured-yet-imaginative approach to any activity designed to broaden your horizons academically, intellectually, spiritually, esoterically, or even literally through travel should help you mitigate any impatience or tension that could crop up. Meditation is not the only path to self-awareness.
With yesterday’s Full Moon, did something fun or creative mirror back to you the truth of a social situation? Bringing your ideals fully into the mix — in a cooperative way — looks key to your next steps.
*
VIRGO — I suspect this past year has magnified certain questions about your professional standing and ambitions. Chances are you have discovered newfound fuel to propel you toward your goals or received a helping hand. Yet it’s equally possible the magnification effect has distorted certain self-doubts — nudging you to resolve them. Your challenge this year, should you choose to accept it, is to graciously accept from your wider social circles the kind of TLC you so easily offer others. In case you need some cajoling: receiving these blessings is actually key to your current phase of giving to the wider world. This is not about focusing on your personal gain. (In fact, other people’s resources and money could be a confusing area to navigate, especially without clearly articulated agreements on paper.) Rather, this is about dissolving any blocks to the flow and exchange of energy as you pour yourself into your social ideals and activism. This will help fill your well, especially if you’re an introvert easily taxed by collective energies. Extraverts: it’s full steam ahead serving your communities.
With the Full Moon did “what makes you feel at home” confront the momentum that’s been growing around something you’d like to accomplish? What if it’s the stretch that creates the safety?
*
LIBRA — While it’s easy to peg Libras as “people pleasers,” you actually harbor a strong calling to make your unique mark in the world. Your devotion to seeking balance and beauty is partly about taking care of others — and that just got turned up to 11. Your intuitive ability to know what will serve others, particularly in the public sphere, appears greatly enhanced for the next twelve months. While this comes with rewards, it’s also a reminder to keep tabs on moments when empathy tips over into the kind of energetic porousness that leaves you feeling depleted. It’s okay to ask for tips and tools to mitigate such leakage. This may be especially important this year, as you seek to reconcile your sense of duty to “everyone” and your professional goals with the dreams and demands (or limitations) of a partner. Depending on the situation, moving in either direction (calling or relationship) could hold the harmony you seek. Take things on a case-by-case basis, since nuance and clarity could sometimes be scarce.
This Full Moon asked you to see how those nearby and your own peace of mind both benefit when you’re reaching for distant shores, whether literal or metaphorical. It’s all about perspective.
*
SCORPIO — Your day-to-day activities appear to be under dueling mandates currently: one insisting on duty and the other inviting escape. These are not the easiest masters to appease simultaneously unless you can find their common denominator. It appears one has just made itself known: expansion of consciousness. I encourage you not to settle for using substances, however. Spending your days (and/or nights) drunk, stoned, or tripping will quickly dissolve into inertia and detachment from reality. Your work here is too important, and our moment in history too slippery, for you to risk that impairment. Instead, your greatest opportunities and gains lie in the realm of active learning and discovery, perhaps even teaching or writing about the insights and wisdom you gain. The pursuit of deeper understanding has the potential to energize you better than escapism or a demanding boss ever could, making the elusive “work-life balance” closer to a reality.
If Wednesday’s Full Moon has brought a tipping point to light regarding how resourced you feel in an intimate relationship or financial venture, look for the win-win solution.
*
SAGITTARIUS — Keep your eye out for opportunities to pool resources with someone. The next twelve months describe a more favorable time than usual for this kind of mutual benefit. That said, where feelings and money mix, questions of what’s “yours,” “mine,” and “ours” can get squishy. If you find those questions amplifying, so too are the opportunities to sort them out better, and to gain significantly in the long run. Keeping tabs on whose emotions and needs are whose is key, since you tend to be very sensitive on an unconscious level with anyone you share intimately with (and don’t let anyone tell you that shared finances, even in business, is not a form of intimacy). The tricky thing currently may be discerning what counts as a worthwhile risk, since you might be feeling more conservative or idealistic than usual in that regard. Setting clear parameters within which you can dream and play should help.
How did a partner or friend show up with yesterday’s Full Moon, and how did you react to them? These answers will supply key information — about yourself and the relationship.
*
CAPRICORN — Life is all about relationships: how we form them, how we nurture them, what we learn through them, how we benefit from them. And the next twelve months are all about your one-to-one encounters, even more than usual. Who you meet serendipitously, your BFFs, a significant other, the professionals you enlist for specific needs — all of these people will likely hold some essential key or gold nugget. You, simultaneously, understand that mutual benefit is the ideal way to go. The one possible sticking point currently appears to be some question of reorganization in your domestic life — your literal home or some emotional matter related to feeling at home. If you’re unclear what kind of action is called for there, consider whether one of your new relationships could be with a suitable professional to help you sort through the feelings and old stories. Think of it as stabilizing the foundations so you can keep building on your soon-to-be enlarged frame of reference.
If you had a seemingly out-of-nowhere reaction to something with this week’s Full Moon, is it showing you how you really feel about something you’ve gotten too used to in your daily life? You have the energy to address it now.
*
AQUARIUS — Despite your cerebral nature, your physical health is closely tied to your emotional health — and both are inextricable from your work. This is actually good news, as you’re entering a twelve-month period when the efforts you put into any one of those three areas will positively impact the other two. If that idea feels challenging currently, it likely relates to what looks like some confusion, caution, or pessimism that has crept into your thinking, or is related to your surroundings. In that case, something like a daily gratitude practice could help you to shift gears into more hands-on action (“consistent” and “action” being key themes here). Also notice if you’re feeling reluctant to communicate directly with those around you. It might not feel worth the effort if you’re not on the same page, but is likely more constructive than staying silent. If you are asked to do more at work, remember that this is an ideal avenue for growth — especially if your job connects you to a sense of purpose and allows for innovation.
If you’ve been putting lots of energy into creativity and recreation this month, has this week’s Full Moon highlighted the positive impact of how you share yourself with the world? It’s all connected.
*
PISCES — When it comes to your creative pursuits and the fun that lights you up, “go big or go home” is your mantra for the next twelve months. Whatever feels good and lets you express all your truest colors will likely grant blessings to match your effort. I’m not talking about being “on” 24/7. But I am talking about letting yourself nurture everyone and everything you love, even the planet itself, through your art and adventures. Just one caveat: know when you’re veering from artistic adventure or playful demonstrativeness into potential financial risk. I see indications that what you possess and value is undergoing some restructuring. As with making art, this is an area where ego attachments can be undermining, and the topic of “resources” could be a source of tension and confusion and feel inhibiting. Rather than rebelling against this, consider how the most effective art forms all benefit from strong structures. Bringing the same approach to your finances creates a scaffold that your inspiration can climb.
Wednesday’s Full Moon was likely a peak in your efforts to get your home base aligned with your broadest goals. What did it show you?
