If you’ve been feeling this energy build the last few days the way I have, and especially if its waves today have felt a little “extra” as you try to sort through the messages and lean into the lessons, know that you are definitely not alone in that. With the Pisces Moon’s psychic sensitivity, the Virgo Sun and Mercury emphasizing analysis and “teaching moments,” and of that making a tense, action-provoking square to Uranus the lighting-bolt of awakening, the air (and many people’s nerves) are buzzing. But it’s all for the purposes of our continued growth if we’re able to ride the waves.

In the service of getting these horoscopes out to people while the Full Moon is in effect, I present these rather lengthy horoscopes for all 12 signs without my customary final editing and proofreading passes (gasp!). If you’ve been feeling this energy build the last few days the way I have, and especially if its waves today have felt a little “extra” as you try to sort through the messages and lean into the lessons, know that you are definitely not alone in that.

I have wonderful notes on this remarkable chart. Maybe I’ll manage to work them up into an essay tomorrow to add on? We’ll see; I think this eclipse has something more to say to me about that activity. 😉 At the very least, paragraph breaks and proofreading of the horoscopes below will happen…tomorrow?

I offer these with love and blessings for your ongoing becoming; may they serve your highest good and the highest good of all.

Amanda

If I can support you through the current changes and uncertainty with an astrological consultation or some soul work sessions, please get in touch.

Also: I recommend reading for your rising sign in addition to your Sun sign — you can even experiment with reading for your Moon sign. Please comment or message me if you’d like help finding out what your rising sign is or why it matters.

Pisces Full Moon and Partial Lunar Eclipse Horoscopes for Aug. 27-28, 2026

ARIES — In so many ways, you are quite aware of your physical and mental health needs. In fact, you tend to understand the connection between the two more than most signs. Yet it looks like a sudden brainstorm (or maybe the erratic thinking of someone in your immediate environment) is putting some pressure on how you think about your wellbeing and what serves it. In fact, as this Full Moon builds, it appears this person’s unpredictability is also pushing on (or pushing out) some unconscious feelings or needs that have been compromising your more conscious stated intentions, particularly around your work-life balance. That said, you might actually be noticing that your own uncharacteristic ideas or inspirations are doing the job of flushing out this discrepancy between unconscious and conscious. If what’s been hidden within your awareness feels amorphous, blurry, dream-like, or slippery each time you start to try and shape it into an insight you could articulate, try focusing instead on what you need to feel grounded, whether mentally, physically, or in your workplace. The clues for what you want to move toward are there  — they simply may not mean what you’ve been assuming. The weird dream you wake up from, the things you scribble while distracted, the download while meditating: anything of this sort could hold the holy wisdom that puts everything into perspective and allows you to put it into tangible service.

TAURUS — You recently began a phase of feeling compelled to reinvent your relationship to your money and material possessions. In fact, this eclipse appears tailor-made to shock you into taking this process more seriously and getting out of your own way. Part of this involves allowing your growth and evolution guide some updates to how you embody and convey your values, rather than letting them be static attachments unconnected to your ideals and needs. You seem to be trying to think your way to creating the changes you need to move toward. But you know by now that action and physical, lived experience are always your most reliable teachers and get the most lasting results. Someone in your wider social sphere is trying to help you lift your attention from that grass you love to munch while ruminating and get you to “do first and think about it later.” This is likely a woman, but a person of any gender with a caring, visionary, or spiritual vibe appears to fit the description. Anything that feels like a financial crisis or a detonation of your self-worth is really just an electric cattle prod, not a disaster. Its purpose is to catalyze you into real movement toward a liberating, more satisfying, more open path of personal expression.

*

GEMINI — Home is where the heart is, and currently it’s where the bulk of your energy and mental flow are going. Undoubtedly there is much to be done at home, and you may be feeling energized by a renovation or focused on the prospect of a move. But while you mind may be housebound, this eclipse is highlighting (or standing in for?) feelings that flow upward and outward: toward bigger goals, a calling of purpose, maybe a dream career. Believe it or not, the biggest wild card — and source of unexpected catalysts — is **you.** Whether you’re fully conscious of it or not, an urge that’s tied up with your source of identity is creating some pressure. Seemingly this pressure is about “home and past” versus “profession and future,” but look closely, and you will likely find some themes relating to both of your parents in different but connected ways. If this summer brought you opportunities to learn, explore, connect with more people, and maybe even get philosophical, it may feel obvious and clear what needs to give so you can connect the particulars of “home” to feeling freer to push out into the world. However, if you have felt stuck, withdrawn, or isolated, your need to bust out could be more provocative to those closest to you, even explosive. It’s okay if that’s the case — energy needs expression so it does not burn you up from the inside. But please consider carefully what has actually been inhibiting you versus what feels like the restriction. I see strong signals that outdated parental ideas and how you felt about them as a child — not the specifics of your living space — could be the real thing this eclipse is trying to interrupt and help you see, so you can open up your trajectory.

*

CANCER — You seem to be thinking a lot about how you think — which can be incredibly useful to understand. After all, thinking clearly helps us to communicate clearly (and if you’re at all neurodivergent, this understanding is often essential to supporting smoother interactions with everyone around you). But you can also get a little perfectionist about it. Which is a little odd and kind of funny (and I say this with love, as a fellow Cancer-rising person), since you’re so much about feelings and flow in other ways. Or maybe all that emotion and cycling through things is why the thinking and talking thing matters so much to you — it serves as a point of anchoring so you don’t get swept away in all your water? Regardless of the reason, some higher-level, broader influence is trying to guide you to a less nit-picky and more soul-oriented or soul-supporting perspective. Forcing this issue — illuminating it like a fleeting strike of lighting when you didn’t even see the thundercloud forming — is some repressed or heretofore unconscious need, impulse, or truth. You won’t see it directly even if you go looking for it. You can’t think your way to it. But it you’ll know it when it comes out, and it might have already: sideways and feeling startlingly self-sabotaging. Those qualities might also indicate how you’re of two minds about this information and the insight it brings. On the one hand, you recognize its accuracy; on the other hand, you want to scuttle away from it. See if you can let it push you toward a broader or more empathetic spiritual understanding of yourself (or toward literal or metaphorical new shores to explore) instead of analyzing it to death. That’s the more nourishing option.

*

LEO — If your energy is currently focused on some type of literal accounting of your material assets, that’s a great starting point. But it’s not the full story. “Worth” and “value” go deeper than money, and when we apply those concepts to ourselves, the terrain gets especially malleable and sticky — like quicksand. The harder you try to think yourself to feeling more worthy (or to a sold financial plan if you have some unexamined beliefs about money) — the more you may get sucked under, into the opposite condition. Reflected back to you with this eclipse is the kind of deep, transformative surrender you crave — even if it scares you, or if your pride around being “in control” makes you unlikely to admit it. I’m talking about the kind of emotional and spiritual investment that opens up a person’s world and leaves them changed for the better. For some, this happens in close relationship with another person, when compassion overrules any sense of “sacrifice” and two hearts merge to form something greater than their parts. For others, it’s about coming into a deeper and (yes) compassionate relationship with themselves, especially if love, sex, or money keep proving elusive, problematic, or painful. Whatever your experience, someone from your wider social connections appears to be providing a startling idea or sudden shakeup. Use any discomfort it causes as a lever to move you in the direction of grace rather than perfection, and notice what transforms as a result.

VIRGO — Our friends, partners, and adversaries do not define us. Yet they play a crucial role in reflecting back to us many of our qualities and gifts, as well as our shortcomings. Note that I said “reflect” and not “take the place of.” We humans get into trouble when we project onto someone else every positive quality we possess, especially when we can’t see them in ourselves. Same when we cast someone as “the villain” without pausing to register whether our strong feelings are masking a similarity we would rather not admit. You are naturally in a month of enhanced self-exploration, self-awareness, and articulate self-expression. What are you noticing in the responses and overall vibe of the individuals you’re sharing yourself with? Are you seeing yourself more clearly and empathetically — maybe even seeing the innate beauty of your heart and soul? Or is something blurry, slippery, or too good (or bad) to be true shimmering back at you? Now think for a moment: do either of those previous two questions simply seem to describe how you see someone else, full stop? A bolt-from-the-blue from someone involved in your career or the spaces where you pursue your calling — perhaps even an authority figure in those realms — may challenge you to get clearer on all this. Even if it feels destabilizing at first, trust its ability to open up for you a whole new way of relating to others. More importantly, trust your capacity to move into this uncharted territory. There’s another less public or dramatic way this eclipse’s energy could play out: the unusual (for you) ways that you’ve been inspired lately to reach toward a new goal or sense of purpose may suddenly feel acutely at odds with your historical way of seeing yourself in relation to others. If that contrast feels scary, don’t fall for it. Instead, relieve the tension by leaning into the challenge of taking up space in a new way. Let those who respond positively and transparently show you a clearer reflection of who you have become, minus the distracting glare of projection. And let that, in turn, clear the fog from your next steps.

LIBRA — You’ve reached the end of your solar year: the four weeks before the Sun lights up your sign. Do these few weeks tend to be tricky for you each year — as though your intentions and others’ reactions don’t line up and balance out? Or do you relish taking stock of the past four seasons and reflecting on how you’ve grown? With this eclipse, any tendency to repress how you really feel at work or about your health is unlikely to fly, no mater how well you’ve played “The Martyr” in the past. These visible facets of your everyday life are lit up — mirroring back to you one or more of your oldest, most “comfortable,” and (perhaps annoyingly) least constructive internalized thought-grooves. It would be easy to gloss over what is staring you in the face but for one thing: your path of spiritual liberation, which is beginning to take on new, unpredictable shapes. Unexpected news from someone very far away — or perhaps a shockingly innovative idea or teacher — is insisting you choose: what you want or know to be true hidden from yourself, to your own detriment, or take the unscripted, potentially messy, uncomfortable step that better serves your health and peace of mind. You might be surprised to read this last part: taking this step will ultimately allow you to be of much, much greater service to others down the road.

SCORPIO — If you’re anything like my favorite Scorpios, you shine when you are fully engaged in serving your community and helping your friends. Partly that’s because you take tangible, thoughtful actions backed by a precise analysis of what’s needed and what’s at stake. I would never dream of suggesting you stop living your mission-driven ideals that way, nor should you. Yet this eclipse is insisting on some recalibration that may affect your more public activities and your social connections — just as you’re feeling drawn to pour more of your energy in those directions. It looks like a sudden wakeup call is instigating changes in one of your more private relationships where money, sex, deep emotion, or power is shared. Whatever it is, its energy is unpredictable and uncontrollable, which likely makes you uneasy, especially given how private and personal the matter in question is. Yet there’s one more integral piece of this equation: how you feel about expressing yourself through all of this. Are you aware of how much power you have to share how you’re feeling — whether directly with friends, or perhaps more creatively? If not, will you consider that this eclipse might be forcing the issue for the sake of your own sanity and evolution? Believe it or not, doing so will not dampen your public service or social life. Rather, you stand to gain a more nuanced understanding of the relationship between pleasure and service. Your friends get a chance to understand the more subtle features of the light and shadow you carry. In the process, you may find more freedom.

*

SAGITTATIUS — Astrologically speaking, eclipses signify a concentration of energy and its brief interruption. Both concentration and interruption can stress any situation or living organism experiencing either condition. But here’s the cool part: stress does not automatically lead to weakening or breakdown. In fact, the opposite is often true: think about how grape vines get pruned back severely to encourage the plant to focus its efforts on producing more fruit with deeper flavor; or how the pressure of a high-stakes game or performance can heighten the focus of an athlete or performer, allowing their full greatness to come forth. Unexpected changes in a 1:1 relationship — or a deep impulse to free yourself (or your thinking) in relation to someone else — appear to be causing some strain right now. It may feel at odds with a natural pull you’re feeling toward career goals, and your need to articulate them to someone in a position to help foster them, as though you were a seedling stretching toward sunlight. This eclipse is intensifying another piece to reconcile: some feelings and thought processes about home and security that likely have roots in childhood. With the eclipse’s “interruption,” you get a chance to perceive those feelings in a different light. Understanding them more consciously should help you use them as a power source that supports more robust relationships as well as the steps toward your goals. Any shocks to your system currently have the potential to spur you toward more robust growth.

*

CAPRICORN — You can be an absolute powerhouse when your mind and work ethic are connected to a sense of purpose larger than yourself. Especially when you are able to relax all of those elements regularly to take a breather and connect with a friend of lover. Where this can get challenging for you is when you lose sight of the feedback loop offered by the people around you: if they’re irritating you or you feel like you can’t avoid soaking up their emotions and reactions, and then you stew in it and get reactive in return, that’s your signal it’s time to pause, step back, and get some perspective. Frayed nerves are your body’s way of telling you energy is blocked and ping-ponging inside you, spread too thin, or misdirected and needing a different outlet. This eclipse is like putting polarized sunglasses on your sense of perspective: the bright glare of some highly charged attitude, way of thinking, or communication diminishes briefly, allowing you to see the contours and detail of the emotions just beneath the surface. Seeing them better will help you understand them better. And this understanding is key to your ability to take whatever corrective action is right for you. This likely is in response to a workplace or health-related shock or disruption — though it could be that you’re the one making an unexpected or uncharacteristic choice at work, or that you feel compelled to experiment with how you treat your body and mind this week. The end result might not be where you thought it would take you, and chances are that’s a good thing. You may find even more ease, ideas, and space to stretch out instead.

*

AQUARIUS — Is this eclipse bringing into focus tension around a sudden creative experiment or adventurous detour, or a need for pleasure and play that feels freer and more aligned? I suspect that’s because whatever is lighting you up or trying to break out feels somehow at cross-purposes with your income, your values, and all you share with those you’re most intertwined and invested with. This eclipse appears to be insisting you clarify your feelings about your money and your other resources, and where those feelings come from. Your natural inclination this time of year is to think in terms of “insurance” for the season ahead, like the ant in the fable industriously working to bank food with its colony-mates for the coming winter. That instinct contradicts your particularly liberatory impulses right now, and this is amplifying what feels like an existential choice: on one side are your values and your generous nature with what you own; on the other side seems to be your survival. What if this is not an “either/or” choice? Rather, what if you have an opportunity to reconcile the fact that every impulse to express yourself differently or take new risks is also pushing you to interrupt the ways you conflate your worth with how much you’re able to suffer with regard to money? Valid contracts come with an escape clause, and this eclipse is yours. You’ve met the terms of some kind of contract, perhaps on a deep soul level with yourself. As you walk away from it, pay attention to what you’re walking toward. You may notice options opening up for your values to express in ways that serve others without hurting you.

PISCES — If you can, get outside tonight to view the partial lunar eclipse. Or find a lunar eclipse photo online today and let your mind wander as you gaze at it. Compare how much easier it is to see the details of its features in its muted, ruddy state compared to gazing at a brilliantly bright Full Moon in the sky. Here’s why I think this could be useful for you: as the Moon sweeps through your sign tonight through Saturday, it describes the amplification your need for emotional support and comfort — but also your sensitivity to a partner’s, friend’s, or adversary’s need for the same. This can be slippery territory for you, due to your high levels of empathy, tendency to soak up moods and psychic energy, and potential for unconscious self-sacrifice (to the point of resentment). With the Sun and Mercury in your opposite sign (Virgo), your relationships are energized and top of mind. All of this is potentially creating more confusion than usual about whose needs and “stuff” are “the issue,” no matter how clearly you and they are communicating. In other words, the psychological/spiritual illusion of projection is something to be on the lookout for — kind of like the optical illusion of the Full Moon “shining its light.” Try your eclipse-gazing exercise while playing with art supplies, playing or singing music, free-writing — anything that gets you expressing feelings without needing to make a point to anyone else. What comes out may help you see yourself and the other more accurately, and help them see you, too. Recent changes to your residence or a sudden impulse to feel more free or more secure (likely both) is upping the ante on how this eclipse is playing out between you and someone else. You can act consciously or unconsciously to resolve the tension, and you can “just react” to what someone else does. Whatever is transpiring, you have an opportunity to see it more clearly, name it, give it a new form, and perhaps even how holy it all is in its ability to open up new pathways.
