After last week’s high energy, how are you feeling this week? A little mellower? Our current astro-environment features a supportive aspect between Venus in Cancer and Mars in Taurus.

Where can you see or feel a complementary, balanced relationship of giving and receiving showing up in your life?

More importantly, where do you see an opportunity to enact — or allow — some fertile giving and receiving into your life?

The current dance step that Venus and Mars are engaging in:

–> Will be exact on Saturday, June 29.

–> Is in effect now and getting stronger all week.

Speaking of dancing, this particular combination of Venus and Mars bodes well for:

–> All kinds of social and artistic activities (dancing being just one possibility — and if you’re local to southern Maine, the PortFringe theater festival running all week is another)

–> Friendships, sexual relationships, & enjoying any kind of company where you can really be yourself

Venus and Mars in this pattern also signal that financial activities could go especially well right now. Mars represents the motivation to do what needs to be done to earn, invest, or protect money. Venus represents the grace and openness necessary to attract and receive what is available.

Yet a key factor in utilizing this Venus-Mars energy is to be active with it. Yes, there is ease and opportunity but this isn’t a “just falls into your lap” kind of dynamic. It’s also not about “pushing” — but it is about noticing when a door opens and then walking through it.

Interestingly, both of these planets in their respective signs speak to a desire or need for security: emotional security and/or material security (the are often related, after all). But this is not the kind of false security that comes from withdrawing (Cancer) or possessing (Taurus).

Rather, it can best be attained through a combination of allowing connection with others (Venus) through your actions (Mars).

Venus in Cancer tends to be affectionate, caring, and sensitive, but potentially prone to worrying. This week, Mars in Taurus offers stability through taking steady action toward what is desired (including what is desired for greater emotional security).

Mars in Taurus tends to be persistent toward goals thanks to physical stamina and a measured pace, but potentially stubborn or possessive in the pursuit. Venus in Cancer offers empathy toward others, which can soften the bluntness of Mars in Taurus, and open the way for what is desired to be attracted and received.

Let me know in the comments if you’re experiencing any of these themes this week!

As always, I’m available for sessions this summer if you’d like to understand better how astrology is working in your life — and how you can get it to work even better.

With love,

Amanda
